Swiggy and Zomato’s partnership with IRCTC

Swiggy and Zomato are two prominent food delivery platforms that have transformed the way people order food in INDIA. both, the company is set to propel in the industry by collaborating with IRCTC  

Train travel has always gained popularity in India. people enjoy long travel journeys. Due to the lack of availability of food on the train. people carry their homemade food. The problem with long train journeys is the spoilage and contamination of food There are pantries inside the train that lack a menu and the taste is always compromised. The IRCTC came up with a policy back in 2014 to start e-catering service. IRCTC are catering partner with the Indian Railways.

Earlier, Zoop was the biggest prominent player in the industry. Puneet Sharma is the founder of Zoop.

 Zoop is the existing partner they offer fresh and hot food service on the train. They have been collaborating with 2500 restaurants. Zoop aims a hassle-free food ordering and their main focus is enhancing customer experience. Zoop is a trusted partner of IRCTC. Zoop has expanded itself to over 195 train stations in India via train number/pnr number orders are accepted. Websites and applications like WhatsApp, Instagram & other apps make it convenient for a user to order food.

Punnet Sharma’s take on the recent partnership with food tech giants like Swiggy and Zomato will enhance the customer experience and comfort. A boom in the e-catering service industry is expected.
