Kerala’s Roastown Global Grill announces aspirations to expand globally.

Roastown Global Grill, a well-known concept restaurant from Kerala, is expanding its reach beyond the state and even the country. Famous for its diverse menu featuring exotic dishes from over 23 countries worldwide, the restaurant plans to open outlets in major cities in South India and key locations in the GCC by 2030, according to its owners and promoters, Futur Foods.

Founded in 2020, Roastown is the brainchild of Mr. Joshy George, Chairman and MD of AG&S Group, the parent company of Futur Foods. Mr. George collaborated with restaurant experts to create the concept and its acclaimed menu, which is unmatched in the country.

The first outlet was established in Thrissur in 2020 and quickly gained popularity among food enthusiasts in Kerala and South Indian cities. This success led to the opening of a grand 150-seater restaurant in Edappally, Kochi in 2023.

The Kochi location offers a wide-ranging new menu and stunning atmosphere, featuring three live kitchens, a Mixology Bar, a recent addition of Flat Wok, and a unique experience called Chef’s Studio.

The restaurant quickly garnered a loyal customer base in Kochi and beyond, inspiring Futur Foods to pursue ambitious expansion plans.

Mr. Biju George, a promoter of Roastown and Director of AG&S Group, mentions that they aim to replicate this distinctive format beyond the state while preserving the authenticity of the cuisine. The expansion includes starting outlets in major metros in India and key cities in the Middle East by 2030.

Their growth strategy involves a combination of self-owned outlets and carefully selected franchise partners. They are confident in replicating the success of the Kochi outlet globally.

Mr. George Joshy, Executive Director of Futur Foods, highlights that the restaurant’s atmosphere and extensive variety of dishes make it a perfect venue for celebrating special occasions with family, socializing with friends, or business lunches.

They strive to ensure each dish tastes as it does in its country of origin, giving diners an authentic culinary experience. Their latest brand campaign, ‘Your Ticket to the World,’ emphasizes these unique aspects.

Mr. Mohammed Siddiq, celebrity chef and Culinary Consultant for Futur Foods, notes the uniqueness of the menu, which took two years to develop. They balance authenticity with innovative touches from the chefs. Sourcing ingredients involved a mix of local and imported items to achieve the desired flavors.

The Roastown experience extends beyond food, offering interactive experiences such as Fournier, Churrascaria, Patisserie, Flat Wok, Mixology Bar, and Chef’s Studio.
