Royal Orchid Hotels Ltd (ROHL) has made its entry into Odisha with the opening of Regenta Central in Puri. This is the first ROHL property in Odisha and the fourth in East India, coinciding with the growth of spiritual and cultural tourism in Puri.
Located just 50 meters from Golden Beach, the hotel has 55 rooms in four categories and is 5 kilometers from Puri Railway Station and the Jagannath Temple.
Chairman & Managing Director, Chander K Baljee, mentioned that the opening of Regenta Central is a significant milestone in their aggressive expansion plan for the fiscal year, with recent announcements of hotels in Kasauli, Surat, and Mumbai.
Puri’s rich history, economic dependency on tourism, and religious landmarks like the Jagannath Temple make it an emerging tourist hub.
ROHL primarily manages 5-star and 4-star hotels under the Royal Orchid and Regenta brands, with over 100 hotels. The company plans to open 35 new hotels this year.
ROHL shares were steady in afternoon trading, having increased by 48% in the last year. The company reported a profit of Rs 46 crore on revenues of Rs 263 crore for FY23.
