PhonePe has teamed up with e-Sewa and the Hotel Association of Nepal (HAN) Pokhara to promote the use of UPI on the Fonepay Network during the Fewa New Year Festival from April 11-14th.
The festival is widely celebrated across Nepal and is a major attraction for Indian tourists who travel to the country to partake in the celebrations.
In line with its goal of promoting digital payments through UPI, PhonePe will lead several initiatives during this year’s Fewa New Year Festival. The company will conduct on-site activities to educate local merchants about digital payments and showcase the ease of using digital transactions for customers.
PhonePe, together with eSewa and HAN Pokhara, will highlight the simplicity of UPI payments through visible on-site and digital branding, kiosks demonstrating digital payments, and other engaging activities. More than 3,000 merchants will participate in the festival, which is anticipated to attract over 100,000 visitors.
