Reliance Retail’s convenience store chain, 7-Eleven, has unveiled a new outlet in Kalamboli, Panvel, Maharashtra, India, as per a post on social media by a company representative. Amit Kumar Rout, Reliance Retail’s Property Acquisition Manager, expressed enthusiasm about the opening of the inaugural 7-Eleven store in Kalamboli, highlighting the addition of a new BWS section. This development comes after reports from IndiaRetailing indicating that the company has achieved the milestone of launching 50 stores across India.
7-Eleven is renowned for its convenient shopping experience, offering a diverse selection of ready-to-eat food, beverages, and everyday essentials, catering to busy customers.
Originating as an icehouse storefront in Dallas, Texas in 1927, the brand is currently owned by Seven-Eleven Japan Co., Ltd., a Japanese company, and operates over 84,000 convenience stores across 20 countries, as stated on its official website.
In India, 7-Eleven is overseen by Reliance Retail, which inaugurated the brand’s first store in Mumbai in 2021. Initially, 7-Eleven had partnered with Kishore Biyani’s Future Group to enter the Indian market, but this collaboration was terminated in 2021.
