IHCL has recently unveiled plans for a new Vivanta hotel in the ancient city of Ujjain, situated in Madhya Pradesh. This upcoming property, a Greenfield project, underscores IHCL’s strategic focus on expanding its footprint in key pilgrimage destinations across India. Ujjain, renowned for its religious festivals and historic temples along the banks of the Kshipra River, will welcome IHCL’s first hotel in the city, strategically positioned within easy reach of Indore airport and the famed ‘Mahakal Corridor’.
This 130-key hotel, developed in collaboration with Phulwani Real Estate India Private Limited, will offer a range of amenities including an all-day dining venue, a swimming pool, and a fitness center. Additionally, it will boast sophisticated banqueting facilities and meeting spaces suitable for both corporate and social gatherings.
Jitendra Phulwani of Phulwani Real Estate India Private Limited expressed enthusiasm about partnering with IHCL, recognizing the opportunity to deliver the distinctive Vivanta experience to guests in Ujjain.
As a prominent Hindu pilgrimage center, Ujjain is globally renowned for its Mahakaleshwar Temple and hosts the revered Kumbh Mela every twelve years, attracting millions of devotees.
With the addition of this hotel, IHCL strengthens its presence in Madhya Pradesh, with a total of 12 properties spanning the Taj, SeleQtions, Vivanta, and Ginger brands, including four currently in development.
