Celebrity Chef Vikas Khanna is gearing up to introduce Indian cuisine to the global stage with the launch of his latest restaurant in New York. Dubbed ‘Bungalow’, the establishment is scheduled to welcome guests starting March 23. Chef Vikas took to social media to reveal his upcoming venture, sharing that Bungalow New York is a heartfelt tribute to his late sister Radhika Khanna, who would have celebrated her 50th birthday on March 23, 2024. “We chose this auspicious day to inaugurate Bungalow as a homage to her life,” he expressed in an Instagram post. Notably, Radhika Khanna passed away in 2022 at the age of 48 due to multiple organ failure, as reported. Additionally, Chef Vikas Khanna emphasized in his announcement that Bungalow and its menu will pay homage to “countless kitchens, chefs, cookbook authors, street vendors, and home cooks across India—especially our mothers, who have endlessly nurtured our spirits.”
