Formerly the Mountain Spa resort, Ameyalli will feature a 50,000 square-foot “Wellbeing Center of Excellence” developed in collaboration with Deepak Chopra.
With construction delays at the future Ameyalli Resort in Midway, the first homes are now projected to open early this summer.
Ameyalli, the wellness-centric resort currently in development in Midway, had initially aimed to debut its first residences this month. However, developer Chuck Heath now anticipates the initial phase of the resort to be ready by June, with subsequent construction stages to follow.
“We anticipate having the first units ready for occupancy by June and July,” Heath stated. “The design process for phases two, three, and four – encompassing the hotel, cottages, and well-being spa – is nearing completion.”
He mentioned plans to construct a pool and clubhouse during the upcoming summer months.
Each unit boasts approximately 2,800 square feet, featuring four bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms, and a rooftop deck. Prospective buyers have the option to purchase anywhere from an eighth of a share to full ownership of these homes.
Further development will see the addition of 80 hotel rooms, cottages, and duplexes to the resort, as outlined in presentations to the Midway City Council.
Heath’s vision for Ameyalli is centered around promoting healthy living, drawing inspiration from Deepak Chopra’s seven pillars of wellness.
“We’re fortunate to have geothermal mineral waters on-site, which have been renowned for their healing properties since the late 1800s,” he remarked. “Moreover, our location just eight to 10 minutes from the Mayflower exit to the back of Deer Valley provides easy access to nature.”
In addition to accommodation, Ameyalli will offer workshops on wellness and health education for its visitors.
“Our goal isn’t just to assist guests with their health during their stay; we aim to support their well-being throughout the entire year,” Heath emphasized.
Situated on a 30-acre parcel just north of downtown Midway and Memorial Hill, this development aims to provide a holistic retreat experience amidst picturesque surroundings.
