Accor and Egypt’s Q Real Estate Development Company have joined forces to develop Novotel Sidi Abd El Rahman, a new hotel set to open in 2027 on Egypt’s northern Mediterranean coast. This partnership is part of a strategic effort to enhance the region’s appeal as a tourist destination. Located in Q North, a mixed-use development near the luxury coastal area of Marassi, the hotel will be easily accessible, with a one-hour and 30-minute drive from Alexandria Borg el Arab International Airport and a three-hour drive from Cairo.
The Novotel Sidi Abd El Rahman will feature 240 spacious and modern rooms, ensuring guests a comfortable and relaxing stay. The hotel will offer a variety of amenities, including a restaurant, a trendy café, a pool bar, and a rooftop bar with panoramic views of the Mediterranean Sea. For those seeking relaxation and recreation, the property will boast a state-of-the-art fitness centre, spa, outdoor swimming pool, and padel courts, capitalizing on the sport’s growing popularity in the region. Guests will also have access to various water sports from the beachfront.
Additionally, the hotel will cater to the Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE) market with a 600-square-metre ballroom and four 50-square-metre meeting rooms, ideal for conferences, weddings, and team-building activities. Duncan O’Rourke, Accor’s CEO of Premium, Midscale & Economy Division Middle East, Africa & Asia Pacific, and Ahmed Thabet, CEO of Q Developments, emphasized the significance of this project in attracting both domestic and international tourists, positioning the northern coast as a prime destination for relaxation and excitement.
