The ‘Explore’ option on Swiggy allows users to do more than just place regular orders

Swiggy, the innovative on-demand convenience platform in India, has announced the debut of ‘Explore,’ a new tool that aims to improve consumers’ food discovery. This function answers the typical problem experienced by regular users who feel limited by their past orders or their knowledge with accessible options. It caters to the ever-present urge for “aaj kuch naya try karen?”

By using ‘Explore,’ consumers may easily find new foods and establishments, expanding their gastronomic horizons. This is because the “Explore” function provides a variety of tailored recommendations, ranging from eateries that users have never visited to novel cuisines and meals that offer a new take on their favorites. Users are facilitated in exploring new things by the reasoning and social proof that support each recommendation. According to the firm, the feature also showcases renowned local eateries, award-winning restaurants, and meals that are currently trending or the most popular. This aids users in finding hidden treasures and discovering new culinary adventures.

Swiggy’s CEO, Rohit Kapoor, “The platform has thousands of unique dishes on the platform, yet most users typically repeat the same 8-10 dishes. This isn’t because they’re not open to trying something new but because there hasn’t been a quick and relevant way to do so. The Explore feature introduces personalised options to users, offering a chance to discover a new dish, a new restaurant, or even a trending dish they may not have tasted before.”

While Explore is a useful tool for users to discover new restaurants, it also gives eateries a chance to highlight their distinctive menu items. Additionally, it makes it easier for them to try out different recipes and cuisines, which draws in more clients and raises their profile. Users may now effortlessly browse through a carefully curated collection of iconic restaurants, undiscovered treasures, local bestsellers, and favorite cuisines from newly opened restaurants using Swiggy’s meal ordering page.
