Zomato Launches ‘Restaurant Services Hub’ to Enhance Operational Support for Restaurant Partners

Foodtech giant Zomato has launched a ‘Restaurant Services Hub’ to assist its restaurant partners with various operational needs. The new platform, accessible via Zomato’s restaurant partner app or dining app, provides services like hiring, FSSAI registrations, taxation, and trademarking.

The company reports that it has already helped over 3,200 restaurant partners during a six-month pilot phase, including restaurants such as Havmor, Dastaan-e-Dawat, Berry on Top, Nutri Bar, and Cheelizza. For hiring services, Zomato has teamed up with vendors like Apna, WorkIndia, Shiftz, Rozgaar, and Kaam.com, with costs ranging from Rs 299 to Rs 5,250. Partnerships with SRV Taxcon, GoAuditz, and Plans4U facilitate FSSAI registrations, trademark security, and GST registrations.

Zomato plans to expand the platform’s offerings to include services like point of sale integrations and hygiene audits. This move follows Swiggy’s recent launch of a recruitment support initiative for its restaurant partners, highlighting increased competition in providing value-added services to restaurants in the food delivery industry.

Additionally, Zomato has rolled out features such as a large order fleet, last-mile deliveries for office workers, and priority deliveries, and has launched Zomato Everyday, a home-cooked meal delivery service. Zomato is also reportedly in talks with Paytm to acquire its events and movie ticketing business, Paytm Insider, for approximately Rs 1,500 crore.
