Oyo has announced the launch of its first luxury property, Palette Royal Reflections Hotel and Spa, in Dubai, marking a significant step in its strategy to expand its premium property portfolio globally. The introduction of this upscale hotel comes as Oyo aims to cater to the growing demand for luxury accommodations. The company projects a notable increase in the number of Indian tourists visiting Dubai in 2024, driven by the emirate’s recent relaxation of its visa policy for Indian travelers.
Oyo anticipates that more than 100,000 Indian tourists will visit Dubai this year, drawn by the city’s renowned luxury shopping, stunning architectural landmarks, and rich cultural offerings. With a strong presence in the UAE, boasting over 700 properties, including more than 200 in Dubai alone, Oyo is well-equipped to meet the rising expectations and needs of luxury-seeking Indian tourists.
India remains the top source market for tourism in Dubai, with 11.9 million Indian visitors recorded in 2023. This is followed by Saudi Arabia with 6.7 million tourists and the UK with 5.9 million. Nitin Gupta, Oyo’s Business Head for the Middle East, highlighted the surge in demand for luxury accommodations among Indian travelers and emphasized Oyo’s commitment to fulfilling these requirements with their new offerings.
This move is part of Oyo’s broader efforts to solidify its presence in the premium segment of the hospitality industry, particularly in high-demand regions such as the Middle East.
