Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar and Prime Minister Narendra Modi were among the leaders who wished President Droupadi Murmu a long and healthy life on her 66th birthday on Thursday. Citizens and leaders used the microblogging platform ‘X’ to wish her, while some dignitaries called on her at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
Murmu expressed gratitude for the warm wishes on X, highlighting the love and bonding from fellow citizens. She began her day by visiting the Lord Jagannath temple in Delhi, praying for the welfare of all citizens. Murmu, born on June 20, 1958, in Odisha, became India’s 15th President on July 25, 2022. Prime Minister Modi praised her wisdom and dedication to serving the marginalized.
Vice President Dhankhar and other dignitaries conveyed their greetings at Rashtrapati Bhavan. Murmu also visited the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya National Institute for Persons with Physical Disabilities and inaugurated MITTI cafe, which is managed by differently-abled individuals. She interacted with children at the President’s Estate and received birthday wishes from former President Ram Nath Kovind and other prominent leaders.
