amã Stays & Trails, the premium homestay offering by the Indian Hotel Company, has achieved a significant milestone by adding over 150 bungalows to its portfolio, with 100 of them currently operational.

Deepika Rao, Executive Vice President of New Businesses and Hotel Openings at IHCL, expressed, “amã Stays & Trails has experienced rapid growth, signing on 60 new properties and opening 40 bungalows this year alone, bringing our portfolio to over 150 unique properties situated in offbeat destinations across India. We recently celebrated the opening of Whispering Pines in Bhimtal, Uttarakhand, marking our 100th operational bungalow.”

She emphasized, “amã caters to the increasing demand for experiential travel, offering authentic and immersive local experiences as travelers seek out new leisure formats. We are well-positioned to expand further in the homestay segment.”

amã Stays & Trails features a diverse collection of historic havelis, heritage villas, colonial houses, plantation bungalows, and charming residences, originally starting with nine heritage bungalows in Coorg and Chikmagalur. Today, the portfolio boasts 156 bungalows, with 56 more in development. These properties are situated in picturesque locations such as Lonavala, Madh Island, Alibag, Goa, Trivandrum, Munnar, Alleppey, Manali, and Shimla, among others. Each bungalow is conveniently located near an IHCL hotel in its respective region, ensuring guests receive safe and personalized service. amã Stays & Trails currently operates in 15 states across India.
