Lemon Tree makes its debut in Tripura

Lemon Tree Hotels, Agartala is expected to open in FY27.

Lemon Tree Hotels has recently announced the addition of Lemon Tree Hotels, Agartala to its portfolio. Scheduled to open in the fiscal year 2027, the property will be under the management of Carnation Hotels Private Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary and the management arm of Lemon Tree Hotels Limited.

Situated in Agartala, the capital of the north-eastern state of Tripura in India, this city boasts a rich historical background and a vibrant cultural scene. Initially a modest town, Agartala flourished under the rule of the Manikya dynasty and later became a princely state during British colonial rule. Today, it serves as a thriving hub for trade and commerce, with a burgeoning economy driven by sectors such as agriculture, handloom, and tourism. The city’s markets are bustling with activity, offering a diverse range of goods including handicrafts, textiles, and spices.
