Today, the Hyatt Hotels Corporation unveiled ambitious plans for expanding its brand presence in India and the Southwest Asia region, announcing a robust pipeline of eight new hotels slated to open across various leisure and city destinations in 2024. This expansion aligns with the anticipated resurgence of both leisure and business travel in the region.
In 2024, Hyatt will focus on expanding its Hyatt Regency, Hyatt Place, and Hyatt Centric brands in India and Southwest Asia. Additionally, the introduction of the JdV by Hyatt brand in India was marked with the recent opening of Ronil Goa, demonstrating Hyatt’s commitment to enhancing its luxury and lifestyle offerings in the region.
The growth strategy includes the debut of Hyatt Regency in new destinations with the openings of Hyatt Regency Kasauli and Hyatt Regency Ghaziabad. The Hyatt Place brand is set to enter three new locations, including Hyatt Place Aurangabad, Hyatt Place Haridwar, and its first property in Bangladesh, Hyatt Place Dhaka Uttara. Furthermore, the Hyatt Centric brand will expand with the expected openings of Hyatt Centric Hebbal Bengaluru and Hyatt Centric Ballygunge Kolkata.
Sunjae Sharma, Managing Director for India & Southwest Asia at Hyatt, expressed confidence in the region’s growth potential, highlighting the company’s commitment to expanding its footprint. The introduction of the JdV by Hyatt brand reflects a strategic move to cater to diverse leisure and business segments. Sharma emphasized the seamless alignment of Ronil Goa with the brand’s ethos of embracing the moment.
Hyatt’s recent expansions in 2023 included openings such as Hyatt Place Bodh Gaya, Hyatt Place Vijaywada, Hyatt Place Goa Candolim, and Hyatt Centric Rajpur Road Dehradun, strengthening its presence across leisure, corporate, and spiritual tourism segments.
With these developments, Hyatt’s portfolio in India and Southwest Asia will comprise nine distinct brands, providing guests with unique and engaging experiences. This balanced portfolio, encompassing brands like Andaz, Alila, Park Hyatt, Grand Hyatt, and others, reflects Hyatt’s commitment to delivering exceptional hospitality experiences tailored to both local and global standards.
