IHCL sets stage for a Taj in Indore

Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has announced the signing of a Taj hotel in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. This hotel marks a significant milestone as it will be a Greenfield project and will boast one of the largest convention facilities in Central India.

Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President – Real Estate & Development at IHCL, expressed, “This agreement aligns perfectly with IHCL’s strategic objective to broaden its presence across India’s key business and leisure hubs. Indore, known as the commercial and financial hub of central India, presents an ideal location for our expansion efforts. With this new venture, we are thrilled to introduce our entire brand portfolio to the city. We are excited to partner with Manikaran Commercials Private Limited for this prestigious project.”

The hotel, comprising 350 keys, is strategically located along the new Super Corridor, in close proximity to significant IT campuses and within easy reach of major industrial zones and leisure destinations. Guests will have the opportunity to savor diverse cuisines at the all-day dining restaurant, a specialty restaurant, a bar, and a lobby lounge. The property will offer an array of leisure and recreational amenities, including a swimming pool, a spa, a fitness center, and various sports and entertainment facilities. Moreover, the hotel is poised to emerge as a premier convention center in Central India, featuring approximately 50,000 square feet of flexible, state-of-the-art banqueting and event spaces.

Indore, situated on the banks of the Kahn and Saraswati rivers, stands as Madhya Pradesh’s largest city and serves as a significant transit point for pilgrims heading to the renowned Mahakaleshwar temple in Ujjain.

With the addition of this hotel, IHCL will bolster its presence in Madhya Pradesh, boasting a total of 12 hotels across the Taj, SeleQtions, Vivanta, and Ginger brands, including four properties under development.
