Gulfood 2024, the largest ever, propels transformation with global food futurists charting the industry’s next frontier.

Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) has unveiled that Gulfood, the world’s largest annual event for food and beverage sourcing, is scheduled for February 19-23, 2024, spotlighting the future trajectory of the food industry. With a staggering 5,500+ exhibitors and attendees from over 190 countries, spanning 24 halls, Gulfood remains the pinnacle gathering for the global F&B community.

Amidst heightened global attention on food systems, policymakers and industry leaders are focusing on transformative strategies to sustainably nourish a growing global population while addressing climate change challenges. Anticipated discussions at Gulfood will explore innovations in agricultural technology, the integration of AI in food production, strategies to reduce food loss and waste, and the rise of alternative proteins like cultured meat, all aimed at addressing food security challenges through 2050 and beyond.

Trixy LohMirmand, Executive Vice President of Dubai World Trade Centre, emphasized Gulfood’s pivotal role in shaping the industry’s trajectory, serving as a platform for insights from leading food futurists and fostering essential business connections amidst a shifting landscape driven by technologies like AI.

Renowned futurist Tom Cheesewright highlighted the transformative role of technology in reshaping the food market, predicting continued evolution in the coming decade, driven by AI advancements and shifting demographics.

Under the theme ‘Real Food, Real Business,’ Gulfood 2024 promises to showcase authentic food products, facilitate meaningful business engagements, and facilitate over USD 12 billion in commercial deals. New pavilions from Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Venezuela will enrich the global dialogue on food innovation and sustainability.

The Gulfood Inspire Conference will delve into trending topics such as digitalization, circular food systems, investment opportunities, and food safety. With over 200 industry experts, including ministers, entrepreneurs, and scientists, the conference will provide invaluable insights and opportunities for growth.
